The Home Buyer’s Process: 

Buying a home will likely be one of the largest financial transactions in your lifetime. Working with a licensed professional real estate agent alleviates a lot of stress and confusion. A realtor’s knowledge of contracts and escrow alone can save you from making mistakes resulting in the loss of your time and money. A realtor has access and expertise to more than that, they can also explain financing, mortgage and inspection terms, addendums, disclosures and vendors such as insurance and title companies to refer you to from contract to closing. 

Realtors also assist with negotiating the sales price. Using an agent with knowledge of the current market conditions in your area is most beneficial. They can negotiate your timelines to best protect you when writing your contract. 

If after you have obtained your home inspection and you choose to move forward with your sale, your Realtor will then assist with any remaining contingencies and communicate with you, your lender and your title agency.
